What the
hell?
I look
at my counter and in the past two days I have had over 200 visitors
(each of those days) come by my site. And usually it's just because
my mom checks my site every five minutes to see if I am alive which
drives my numbers up. My counter is stupid and doesn't say how people
got here. So I demand that you write
meand tell me why there are so many people who came by. Normally
only like 20-30 people come by a day-- at most. This is scary. I am
suspicious.
Check throughout
my site for new updates. Some are just color changes and others are
new pics and stuff.
Anyhow,
I have had a great past few weeks. I love APA Heritage month! It sure
does keep me busy! If only I could be working this much year round!
I'd be set! Just look at the pictures.

Here
I am at the Claremont Colleges last Saturday afternoon with The
Kennedy Kabasares. I am auctioning off my Catholic High School
skirt in my performance piece "Auction". I think it
went for a bid of "repression to come back later in the form
of a bad performance art piece".
The
event was a community fair and I brought it to a new low with
my performance.
|
| This
is Diana who coordinated the fair, and to the right is Karin, one
of the fellows in the AWC fellowship I got from VC. We are holding
up a Hate Crimes poster. I don't know why I thought those glasses
I am wearing were sexy. My mother thinks they make me look like
Dame Edna, and she is right. |

I
drove up to San Francisco for the weekend, after my Claremont show
for my UC Davis lecture. Here is my childhood friend Ari. We have
shared a lot of lame childhood memories together. Mostly growing
up broke together and always asking each other for money. And times
have not changed as pictured here at the SF Brewery in North Beach
where we coerced some guy to buy us beer due to not having any cash
on us. It's cool, it was our friend Steve who we coerced. But the
weirdest thing is that this guy who didn't work there put on an
apron, got behind the counter and started bringing us free food! |

My
life has hit a new low as now my new pet project is to take pictures
of people watching me on ER. Here is my mother, excited like no
other that after all these years of lying to the relatives that
I am a doctor actually has video proof!
Click
here to see more pics of people watching me on ER!

I
showed the BEAT THE BUS documentary
to my family. They love it! Here is a pic of them watching Larry
round the corner on his way to the finish line! |
|
This
is my dad, mom, auntie and uncle watching the documentary. We
ate Easter Sunday Brunch together earlier that day. Everyone loves
a good documentary about bus racing!
The
coolest thing is at the Brunch place I entered this raffle to
win Brunch for four on Mother's Day and won! So I guess my family
will be going to go back and eat for free!

Here
I am at my UC Davis lecture/panel. This cool guy is Aldrich who
is a big fan of bigbadchinesemama.com.
He asked me to autograph his shirt! Btw, I have new merchandise
coming on my bbcm site!
Nobody
has asked me to sign their shirt before. It felt so good! Go Aggies!
I
found out that an Aggie is not a dog but a horse.
|
|
I
got so excited about signing his shirt, that I wrote a novel on
the back of it!
My
mom came to the panel with me. It was funny because at one point
we were having this big back and forth talk during the panel about
how it is better to have gross pics of me that nobody can masturbate
to on the BBCM site, rather than naked pics of me. And all the
Davis kids were caught in the middle of the talk.

This
is a rare picture. This is Phil of angryasianman.com.
He
has no pics of him on his site, so this is probably the only chance
you will get to see him. Now you know who to look for on your
next killing spree. He was a panel virgin and had never lectured
about his site before. He did a great job.
Phil
is also a friend of my friend Vince
-- small world.
Our
panel was called "Angry and Asian: APA Internet Celebrities".
The description of the panel said that we would "talk about
what irks us the most". So embarassing. The first thing I
did when introduced was growl into the mic to show people what
an angry person I was.

| Ari
works at Flora Bunda on Irving. It's so cool. I went to visit her.
I kind of want a job like that. Plants are much more interesting
to hangs out with than people. This shop specializes in weird kinds
of plants. |
 |
 |
Me
and Dave being stupid at the florist shop. |
|
This
is the shirt I got Ari. I went to the Cherry Blossom Fest to get
my merchandise from Ryan, and ended up buying this too. I checked
out this show about Asian American prisoners at Locus.
I wish I had pics from that night! It was so cool!
Most
people think Ari is Irish but she is half Afghan. Don't hurt her!
My friend Phloe designs these shirts. You can buy them off the
blacklava site.
|
 |
 |
Dave
shows Easter candy from car as we drive around SF, just being dumb
because it's a digital camera. |
| Ari's
cat is named MAO and weighs like 50 pounds. We always laugh at MAO
because she is so big. She's really abnormally huge, like three
cats in one. Here I am having pillow talk with MAO. |
 |
 |
Ari
and Dave tantalize you into buying new panties from my BBCM
site. |
|
More
acting stupid before getting in the car and going to LA again.
The
drive back was so tiring. I got in around 11:30PM.

Anyway,
hope you enjoyed the photo tour through my weekend. I am so busy! It's
killing me. I like it though. I realize I work best when I am totally
stressed out. At one point today, I was totally in my PJs and it was
noon and then at another point I was just in my undies in front of my
computer not able to get started on the basics of getting ready for
my day because the phone was ringing off the hook!
I get really
reflective when I am in San Francisco. I think about things like my
upbringing and how weird life is now. I feel more confident. More sure
of myself. I like this end of life more than my teens and college years.
There was more partying and stuff during those years but now I feel
really good about my life and at least, more in control which is great
considering I am in one of those professions where it's very hard to
feel in control and sure of yourself all the time.
Also, my
Highways show with Nurit is called "GRAND DYSTOPIA". Come
back for more details.
Oh another
cool thing that happened is I am getting commissioned by the Taper to
create a short new work for the LAsians performance! It's so cool! I
am so excited to be performing among cool ass people like Dan Kwong,
Denise Uyehara, Alison De La Cruz, Alec Mapa and Jude Narita.
Anyway,
can't think of what else to say. Other than, "AHHHHHHH! I love
APA Heritage Month! Keep the gigs coming!"
Love you
all!
