9.10.04-- Val Kilmer as Moses?

First of all.... I need to link this site.... They are a social network in Chicago that are getting the word out!

Ok, so it's time to leave LA when you see billboards for "The Ten Commandments" the Musical and Val Kilmer is Moses. I wonder if he will do something reminiscent of Top Gun and part the seas with a fighter jet. The most awesome part of Val Kilmer as Moses is these interviews he's doing. He did this interview on the radio, and I gotta say, I never knew Moses, but Val Kilmer sure didn't seem like the guy who should play him to me. That guy just name drops and talks about himself like he's GOD. Hello! Val! You are playing Moses, not God.

Anyway, I haven't even had the chance to update my site because this week has been hysterically nuts. Man, I know a lot of people think that being a working artist is cake, but I almost died last night. I had a tall boba last night (which I never drink normally because it is like $4 a cup down here, and the caffeine gives me the shakes) because I needed to stay awake and get all this work done and I woke up on my floor at 6am today. It was gross. My heart was shaking and I was all crabby.

There was a press conference for work this morning that I had to help set up for it. I wore these hip huggers that I'd never worn out before and didn't realize my underwear was hanging way the heck out of the waistline. It's funny because all the people I work around didn't point it out because they assume that I like looking so sloppy (you know, what with that "crazy" aura I give off). One lady pointed it out finally and she was like, "Oh, we just thought you were dressing like Kristina. And trying to do something hip and gangster looking."

Dude, gangsters don't wear big ass high waisted old lady briefs up over their hip huggers. I was so embarrassed. And what was worse is that I kept having to readjust this banner that was falling down during the press conference and I know my big ol' white panties were all over those news cameras.

I haven't even packed anything to wear. Nothing. I'm a disaster. I was looking for underpants for the trip and I think I am going to have to wear these baggy convalescent home hanes that I think my mom left for me when she was visiting me (no offense mom).

------------------------------------------

So I leave on a plane tomorrow. September 11th. I'm not really batting an eye about flying on September 11th. I personally don't think terrorists are sentimental. Maybe it will hit me more when I'm on the plane. The intenseness of where we were 3 years ago.

Gosh. Has it been three years already? I remember how everything was so "sensitive" after 9/11. Clear Channel freaked out and didn't allow their stations to play hundreds of songs that had some determined reference to something. People didn't want to do anything was even the slightest bit "disrespectful." Everyone was doing some kind of fundraiser to raise money for people they'd never met. People actually went to donate blood. Remember that?

But I guess we must have recovered quicky or something. Now, you look around and you wonder what the heck happened? How did TV end up more trashy as a result of all this? Why did we just go to war? With Sadam? Where is Bin Laden?

What? Huh?

So I also realize I've been pronouncing Illinois wrong. Anida corrected me on the phone. I've been saying, "ILLAHNOISE". It's really "Illinoy."

Anyway, before I get too carried away with blogging, I will put up a schedule for my my week away so if you happen to be out there, you can come to my stuff, or follow me in a moving bush.
