“Environmental Justice League” with the Bus Riders Union

I’ve received NINE Artist-in-residence grants from the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs to facilitate performance and writing workshops, creating original theater work in communities throughout Los Angeles, culminating in a final public performance.

Here are some of the communities I’ve worked with:

  • Formerly incarcerated APIs and APIs affected by the criminal justice system (API Rise and East West Players)

  • Undocumented immigrants (UCLA Dream Resource Center)

  • Young Workers Project (UCLA Labor Center)

  • Residents of Skid Row (Los Angeles Community Action Network)

  • Members of the Bus Riders Union (this was a tri-lingual project!)

  • Women of Color in the Valley (Van Nuys YMCA)
